About

Outlaw Podcast examines how the state uses the law to attack liberation movements in the US by gathering lessons from those fighting back. In intimate interviews about how repression works with those on the frontlines of the legal battle, you’ll hear stories and analysis from fights around the country and throughout movement history. Each episode preserves that history so that lessons learned are not so easily forgotten.

Our host, Olive, is a movement attorney based out of Minneapolis. They started to dream about Outlaw before they became a lawyer, when surveillance, intimidation, and imprisonment came for their friends. They had a million questions about how repression works and thought others might like to hear the answers too. Olive started recording in their closet in 2025 with hopes of creating an accessible archive of stories and analyses to share.
